What do I need to provide for the training?

Fearless Self Defense will bring everything necessary.  Choosing your own space, in which your group is comfortable, is the most important thing you can provide.  Should you find it necessary however, we will be more than happy to work with you on finding the perfect place. If you have a large group having a HDMI compatible computer, a projector, screen and wireless mic is really helpful. Volunteers will also be needed to demonstrate techniques. The volunteers will not be harmed in any way. We can discuss these things at the time of your booking.

Attackers don’t care what you wear and neither do we.  Though we do highly recommend participants wear something comfortable so you are able to concentrate on the training.

Do I have to be in good physical condition to take a class?

Our classes are low impact and do not require high consistent cardio levels.  There may be a little sweating during the trainings but anybody is able to learn to defend himself or herself with a Fearless self defense training.

Where are you located?

We conduct our classes on site at your location.  If you don’t have the space needed we are more than happy to assist you with locating the perfect venue.  Should we locate a venue on your behalf, an accommodation fee may apply.  Also, if your location is outside the Greater Salt Lake Area travel and accommodation fees may apply.

How long are trainings?

Training times are unique to each class.  Fearless Self Defense has a wide range of trainings which run from 90 minutes to 5 hours.  Our signature introductory group class is a 90 minute training.

Is one class enough?

One class will teach you minimal basic self-defense and safety skills while having a great time. Fearless RESOLUTELY believes Self defense requires repetition to build muscle memory for you to react quickly and without forethought in a dangerous situation.  We firmly recommend a minimum of four (4) classes.  We offer a 90-minute “How To Be Fearless” class, which will teach you the minimum essentials.  We also offer a “How To Be Fearless” Series taught over 4 weeks in which you will gain a much more thorough knowledge, understanding and ease of and with defending yourself against a predator.

How many people can you speak to at once?

No crowd is too big or too small for a Fearless self defense class – we make it work! Our hands on trainings are designed for up to 35 participants. Our live seminars, which are designed for larger groups, can be presented up to hundreds, even thousands at a time.

Can men come too?

Our trainings are gender neutral unless otherwise noted.  When booking your seminar, you decide who you’ll have in attendance.

I don’t have a group but still want to take a training?

Our trainings are booked by private groups, which are not open to the public. We encourage you to organize your own private training. If you need help doing this, reach out to us, we have a ton of great ideas. Periodically we do have groups who will open their classes to the public. Contact us to put your name on this notification list.

By promoting self defense are you victim blaming?

RAPE, VIOLENCE OR SEXUAL ASSAULT IS NEVER THE FAULT OF THE VICTIM.  In fact we address the issue of victim blaming as part of our curriculum.  If you have experienced violence, Fearless Self Defense is not, in any way, blaming you.  Fearless understands the choice to fight back or to not fight back against an attacker is a very personal one.  We believe in teaching you the knowledge, personal empowerment and the necessary tools to fight a predator should you choose to use them.

In a perfect world Fearless Self Defense trainings would not be necessary.  Unfortunately, we live in a frightening word in which the lessons we teach in our seminars are utilized far too often.  We believe that in the case of a one-on-one attack, your best chance of survival is to be your own protector by taking self defense courses and practicing what you’ve learned so that the knowledge becomes ingrained in your person.

We at Fearless feel it’s important to understand that fighting back is not just about being able to use your body in an effective manner physically. Self defense is also about empowering yourself; defining boundaries; navigating surroundings; honoring intuition and much more.

FEARLESS SELF DEFENSE  WILL NOT DICTATE  WHICH  IS YOUR BEST CHOICE IN CASE OF AN ATTEMPTED ASSAULT –  FEARLESS  WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH CHOICES.
